Linda Faye Snead Wilson, 69, died on July 3, 2023 at her home. Born in Virgilina, VA on February 21, 1954 she was the daughter of the late Walter Snead and Lena Clack Snead.
Mrs. Wilson was an active member of First Baptist Church of Cary, serving as Sunday School Teacher, active in Vacation Bible School, many other roles where ever she was needed. She attended various other churches depending on where she lived, and was active in all of them. She loved reading books and her on-line bingo and word-search games. She especially loved her dog, Sophie.
A memorial service will be conducted at 5 PM on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Underwood Funeral Home, 522 S. Bright Leaf Blvd, Smithfield, NC 27577. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 PM until 5 PM prior to the service.
Surviving are her husband, James Gordon Wilson; her son, Lance Wilson and his wife Erica Wilson; 3 brothers, Walter “Reb” Snead, Tom Snead, Dr. Rev. Ronnie Snead; 3 sisters, Jean Sensabaugh, Joyce Phillips, Carol Wood; 1 grandchild, Kayla Creech; 1 great grandchild, Colbie, to arrive soon.
