Linda Mae Parker Pittman

Linda Mae Parker Pittman, 89, of Princeton passed away at her home on Friday, March 27, 2026 surrounded by her family. Linda was born in Johnston County on July 26, 1936 to the late Conrad Herring Parker and Hattie Lois Whitley Parker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Harold Pittman; brother, Thaddeus Parker; sister, Joyce Parker; grandchildren, Tiffany Peedin and Heather Pittman; son-in-law, Dennis Blackmon and grandson, Barry Blackmon.
Linda was known for her kind and gentle spirit, a woman who was truly loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She has a natural gift for making others feel welcome, always offering a sweet smile, a listening ear, and a heart full of compassion.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures and cherished time spent with her family and friends. Whether gathered around the table, sharing stories, or enjoying the quiet moments.
She loved planting flowers of all sorts, pulling weeds and was known for making the world’s best pot roast. She took great pride in caring for those around her. These moments brought her deep happiness.
Linda was a Member of Princeton United Methodist Church. She also served as President of United Methodist Women, a Sunday School Teacher and Circle Leader.
Above all, she will be remembered for her selfless love, her steady presence, and the way she made everyone feel special. Her legacy is one of kindness, grace and a life well lived.

She is survived by her son, Harold Wayne Pittman of Princeton; daughters and son- in-law, Terry Pittman Blackmon of Princeton; and Kathy Pittman Boyette and Scott of Princeton; grandchildren, Todd Miller (Shannon), Kristina McSwain (Justin), Brittany Barefoot (Ross), Laura Pigott (Chris), Leigh Santiago (Daniel), Paige Whitfield (Ryan), Scotty Boyette (Courtney); great grandchildren, Hayden, Jenna, Kelsey, Ava, Abi, Allie Ross, Brady, Ryan, Shyanna, Madison, Michelle, Meredith, Lanie, Lillie, Luke, Everitt, Beckett.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026 at 7:00 pm in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations with the Reverend Dennis Pollock and Reverend Billy Sander officiating. The committal will take place in Princeton Cemetery on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 11:00am.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, on Monday, March 30, 2026 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions be made to Princeton United Methodist Church.
