Mr. Luther “Frank” Lee, age 84, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield, NC. Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM-Monday, May 23, 2022 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC. Revs. Glenn McCullen and Rev. Don Sauls will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson, NC.
Mr. Lee was born on March 12, 1938 in Johnston County, NC to the late Marion G. and Alice Johnson Lee. Mr. Lee was a retired Truck Driver and also retired from Dunbar Foods as a warehouse manager. Following retirement, he worked with Medlin and Dorman Hardware Store in Benson, NC. Mr. Lee was a US Army Veteran and a member of Banner Post 109 American Legion in Benson, NC. He was also a member of Benson Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church in Benson, NC. Mr. Lee loved his family, bluegrass music, and gardening.
Surviving include his wife of 56 years, Susan Morgan Lee; son, Terry Lee and wife, Barbara; daughter, Frankie Cole and husband, Carlie; grandchildren, Jason Hoffner and wife, Michele; Megan Hoffner, C.J. Cole, Matthew Cole and wife, Priscilla, and Janna Joyner; great-grandchildren, Dexter Hoffner, Ryleigh Hoffner, Abby Cole, and Katie Ninis, great-great-grandchildren, Tate Bass and Wyatt Pickett; sister, Anne Barefoot and husband J.D.; brother, Gerald Lee and wife, Theresa; niece, Alisa Stephenson and husband, Edward; and several great-nieces and nephews; special cat, Yellow Belle.
The family will receive friends 6:00PM-8:00PM, Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC and other times at the home.
