    Mable Grey Lee Hill, 97, of Clayton, passed away on January 21, 2024 surrounded by her loving family at Smithfield Manor Nursing & Rehab in Smithfield, NC.

    Mrs. Mable was known as “Miss Preacher”, she was a preacher’s wife of many years, she visited prisons, visited the sick, and took many a church member to doctor visits. She was a Sunday school teacher who put her whole heart into her ministry. She was a part of the Maggie Little Circle, and was in the Homemakers Club of Pitt County. She touched many people’s lives with her love and ministry.

    She is preceded in death by her parents, Lumas B. Lee and Cora Ellen Massengill Lee; her loving husband, Reverend David Hill; and brothers, Rayford Lee and Lloyd Lee.

    She is survived by her loving daughters, Gail Congleton of Clayton, Sharon Dickens (Clyde) of Four Oaks; Grandchildren, Michelle Congleton Medlin (Tony) of Clayton, Lisa Runion (Zach) of Four Oaks, Shana Harrison (Daniel) of Four Oaks; Great Grandchildren, Hunter Farrar Medlin, Laura Medlin, James Medlin, Raylan Runion and Blair Runion; and Great Great Grandchildren, Olivia Schneider and Layla Medlin.

    A Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 at Bethel O.F.W.B Church in Four Oaks at 12:00 PM.
    Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service.

    Flowers are welcome, but please consider donating to the Bethel O.F.W.B. Church Sunday School Fund.

    She will be laid to rest in the church cemetery beside her loving husband.
