Marcio Tulio Martinez

Marcio Tulio Martinez, a devoted husband, loving father, and faithful pastor, passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord on March 6, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on February 2, 1963, in the beautiful town of Olanchito, Yoro, Honduras, Marcio carried the warmth of his homeland and the light of his faith throughout his life.

A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma, NC, on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 3:00 PM.

Marcio dedicated more than 20 years to pastoring, shepherding congregations with compassion, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to sharing the Gospel. His ministry touched countless lives, offering hope, guidance, and the love of Christ to all who crossed his path. Yet, above all, Marcio’s greatest joy and legacy was his family. He was a kind and loving husband to his beloved wife, Irma Martinez, with whom he shared a deep, enduring partnership rooted in mutual respect and devotion.

Marcio was the proud and tender father of six children: Marcio Tulio Martinez Jr., Wendy Martinez, Edson Jair Martinez, Cristian Martinez, Kevin Josue Ortiz, and Bryan Martinez. He delighted in their successes, supported them through every challenge, and filled their lives with laughter, encouragement, and unconditional love. His role as a father was his proudest calling, and he leaves behind a family forever shaped by his gentle guidance and joyful spirit.

Known to everyone as loving, kind, funny, and endlessly helpful, Marcio had a gift for making people feel seen and valued. His quick wit brought smiles even in difficult moments, his helpful hands were always ready to serve, and his kind heart welcomed everyone like family. Whether through a warm conversation, a shared joke, or quiet acts of service, he embodied Christ’s love in everyday ways.

Marcio’s journey took him from the hills of Honduras to vibrant communities in Miami, Florida, and Clayton, North Carolina, where he built a life of faith, family, and purpose. Though his earthly presence is now missed, the impact of his life continues in the hearts he touched, the souls he led to faith, and the family he cherished so deeply.

He is survived by his loving wife, Irma Martinez; his children, Marcio Tulio Martinez Jr., Wendy Martinez, Edson Jair Martinez, Cristian Martinez, Kevin Josue Ortiz, and Bryan Martinez; and a host of grandchildren, extended family, and dear friends who will forever carry his memory.

A life well-lived in service to God and others, Marcio Tulio Martinez now rests in the arms of his Savior, leaving behind a legacy of love that will endure for generations.

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16
