Margaret Summers Reid of Smithfield, died January 16, 2024, in WakeMed of Raleigh. Born August 25, 1942, in Smithfield, NC, she was a daughter of the late Frank Sterling and Elizabeth Woodall Aycock Reid.

Margaret was a hairdresser for 14 years at “The New You” Salon in Smithfield and later worked for the Clayton Police Department as a dispatcher for 16 years before retiring.

She was buried in the Riverside Cemetery according to her wishes.
