Martha “Jo” Josephine Thompson Radford, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at 7:27 PM on July 27, 2025, at the age of 83. She was born on February 2, 1942.

Jo was a vibrant soul who touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness. She was a true Proverbs 31 woman with an unwavering faith, and she deeply loved her church home, Pine Level Free Will Baptist Church, where the family will host a celebration of her life. Jo proudly retired from Eaton Corporation.

Jo had a passion for cooking, found joy working in her flowers and garden, and loved to travel. Above all, she treasured spending time with her beloved family.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Wilbert and Martha Thompson; her dear sister, Linda Westbrook; and her devoted husband, Billy Acey Radford.

She leaves behind a legacy of love carried on by her two sons: Anthony Radford and his wife, Karen, of Clayton, along with her cherished grandsons, Tyler Radford (Mallory) and Bradley Radford; and Stephen Radford and his wife, Tara, of Raleigh. Jo’s memory will be forever cherished by her family and all who knew her.
