Benson, NC: Mr. Michael Edward Byrd, age 58, of Massengill Farm Road passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022 at UNC Johnston Health Hospital in Smithfield surrounded by his loving family. Graveside Services will be held 3:00PM Monday, August 22, 2022 at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery in Benson. Officiating will be Revs. Glenn McCullen and Greg Tart.
Mr. Byrd was born on March 27, 1964 in Harnett County, NC to Charles Edward and Edna Sue Tart Byrd of Benson. He worked for Byrd’s Auto Sales in Benson and was an avid fisherman. Mr. Byrd was a loving son, brother, uncle and a friend to many.
Surviving in addition to his parents are; sisters, Rhonda Jackson and husband, Craig of Benson, Tonya Barnes of Angier; nieces, Jessica Jackson, Chastity Jackson and fiancé, Tyler Langdon; nephews, Garrett Jackson, Hank Barnes, Jr., and his little buddy, Eli Langdon; many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 1:30PM to 2:30PM Monday, August 22, 2022 prior to the service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home.
