Angier, NC: Mr. Michael Stephenson Trader, age 78, of Stephenson Road passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield with is family by his side. Funeral Services will be held-2:00 PM Monday, March 4, 2024 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Pastor Becky Raynor and Rev. Sammie Langdon. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson.
Mr. Trader was born on October 12, 1945 in Wake County to the late Clarence Preston and Elsie Irene Stephenson Trader. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kent Trader. Prior to retirement, he was a heavy equipment technician with Dillon Supply Company in Raleigh. He lived life to the fullest and would help anyone in need. He had a lifelong love of horses and mules and was a member of Mule City Mule Club. He attended Freedom Chapel Church in Angier and was a loving husband, Daddy, and PaPa. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Surviving include his wife of 55 years, Mildred Trader; daughter, Elizabeth Annette Trader; grandchildren, Taylor Elizabeth Trader-Tino, Riley Denise Trader-Tino, and Logan Earl Trader-Gainey; sisters, Becky T. Raynor and Barbara Sue Trader-Faires; brother, Lyle D. Trader; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
