Mr. Nazro Lee Parker, age 79, of Meadow, died Thursday at his residence with his family present. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00PM Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC.
Mr. Nazro was born August 14, 1942 in Johnston County and was a lifelong member of the Meadow Community. He was the 11th and youngest child of Leondus and Annie (Lee) Parker. He was also preceded in death by all of his siblings (and several sibling-in-law’s): Annie, Hilbert (Shirley McLamb), Charlotte (Luke LoCappo), Leon, Hoover, Helen, Estelle (Robert Blackman), Alsey (Peggy Barbour), Dewey and Bevie; and several nieces and nephews.
Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Bonnie Jernigan Parker along with his two daughters and their husbands, Venus Williams & Ronnie Lindsay and Julie Parker & Aaron Popple. He leaves five grandchildren: Rebecca Gulledge, Elizabeth Williams and Luke, Aurora and Clarissa Popple.
Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Doris Parker, Sylvia Jernigan, Teenie Jernigan, Gloria Byrd and brothers-in-law, Leroy Raynor and Larry Byrd along with 35 nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends following the memorial service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson. Masks are required and other COVID restrictions will be in place. Flowers are welcome but donations may be made the widow at 469 Parker Mill Road, Benson, NC 27504.
