Goldsboro – Paulette Batten Pittman, age 74, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022, in Willow Creek Nursing and Rehab Facility in Goldsboro. Born, August 8, 1947, in Johnston County she was a daughter of the late Paul and Doris Batten. She is preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Bobby Ray Stanley; sisters, Delores Sutton and Elaine Evans.
Paulette was a member of Stancil’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Kenly for many years. She was a graduate of Glendale High School in 1965 as a Valedictorian. She enjoyed volunteering and helping in church activities including crocheting and helping with the annual Operation Christmas Child donations. She also enjoyed singing in church and at the local nursing homes. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
The family will receive friends and family on Sunday, May 15, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. A private graveside service will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022. The family will receive friends at other times at the home of Jason and Christina Stanley, 1750 Piney Grove Church Road, Kenly, NC, 27542.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Ralph Pittman; sons, Barry Stanley (wife Rhonda) of Kenly and Jason Stanley (wife Christina) of Kenly, sister Doris Ann Medlin (husband Larry) of Kenly, brother, Andy Batten (wife Peggy) of Kenly; grandchildren, Luke Stanley, Sidney Stanley, Savannah Stanley and Bridget Stanley, also by many nieces and nephews and all her church family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stancil’s Chapel FWB Church Building Fund.
