Mrs. Peggy Ann Benson Massengill, age 86, of Four Oaks, NC passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022 at Johnston Health in Smithfield surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be held-12:00 PM on Monday June 13, 2022 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks, NC. Officiating will be Rev. John Norman. Burial will follow in Four Oaks City Cemetery.
Mrs. Massengill was born on October 4, 1935 in Johnston County to the late Charlie H. and Lola Belle Stanley Benson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Massengill; son, Tony M Massengill; son-in-law, Durwood Dixon; brother Earl Benson; and sister, Eunice Benson.
Mrs. Massengill was a homemaker and farmer for many years as well as the owner and operator of Peggy’s Daycare in Four Oaks, NC prior to retirement. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Survivors include her daughter, Jeanette Dixon; son, Curtis Massengill; granddaughter, Jennifer Dixon Hayes; great granddaughter, Emma Hayes; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM prior to the service on Monday at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks.
