Selma – Peggy Jean Wall Earp, age 87, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Born, April 28, 1938, in Johnston County, she was a daughter of the late A.T. Wall and Myrtle B. Wall. Peggy is preceded in death by her husband of 60 plus years, James Leon Earp, brothers; Everett T. Wall, Milburn T. Wall, sisters; Mary Helen Woodruff, Edith Gray Sane, Edna Mae Jones and Hazel Hatcher.
She was the owner and operator of P.J.s Klip & Kurl Korner for 22 years full time and then part time in later years. Peggy was a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs for over 50 years, as well as a very active volunteer for many different organizations. Additionally, in her spare time she enjoyed playing golf with her husband and was a charter member of the Cardinal Country Club in Selma. She was passionate about charities and helping those in need. She also enjoyed competing in the Senior Games. Peggy was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at 2:00p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home, with a private interment to follow in Selma Memorial Gardens.
She is survived by her son, James “Jim” Leon Earp Jr. of Smithfield, as well as other family members and friends.
