Ritchie Thelbert Wall, age 90, left this life on Thursday, August 29, 2024, for a closer walk with Jesus. Ritchie was born on May 14, 1934, as the firstborn of Johnie Thelbert and Ethel Lamm Wall in Wilson County. He is preceded in death by his parents; his father and mother-in-law, George H. “Buck” and Clyde E. Hatcher, two brothers; Randy Wall and Danny Wall; two sisters – in-law, Bonnie Long Wall and Christine Starling Wall, his nephew, Little Randy Wall, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Hilda and Billy Cuddington and brother-in-law, George Bobby Hatcher.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. in the Family Life Center at Bethany Missionary Baptist Church in Shoeheel. Visitation will follow the service. The family will also receive friends at other times at the home of Louise Wall.
Ritchie is survived by his wife of 69 years, Louise Wall, daughter, Debbie Meserve and husband Scott, grandson, Seth Peele, step-grandchildren; Ben Meserve and Leanne Meserve; brother, Tim Wall, sister-in-law, Dianne Wall and several nieces and nephews.
