Kenly – Robert Exum Scott Jr., fondly known as Robbie, aged 67, passed away on September 3, 2024, in Kenly, NC, the same town where he was born on July 30, 1957. Robbie was known for his kind, gentle spirit, and deep faith in God. He devoted much of his life to his wife, Donna Ruth Eastman Scott, and their family, and was a pillar of support in his community.
Robbie’s life was marked by his love for farming, his dedication to personal growth, his involvement in community service, and his unwavering commitment to studying the Word of the Lord. These passions not only defined him but also enriched the lives of those around him.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Donna; daughter, Brandi Marie Chandler (Christopher); granddaughters, Kaylee Michelle Scott Coates (Johnny), Madilyn Ivey Chandler, and Meredith Celeste Chandler; great-granddaughters, Karlie Marie Coates, and Kinsley Ann Coates; sisters, Janice Ann Scott Ford, Carol Jane Scott (Elven) Stone, Frances Kay Scott (Danny) Southerland; and sister-in-law, Barbra Owens Scott.
Robbie was preceded in death by his parents, Alma Catherine Barns Scott and Robert Exum Scott Sr., brother, Joseph Franklin “J.F.” Scott, and brother-in-law, James Carlton “J.C.” Ford.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service. A graveside service to honor Robbie’s life will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Scott Family Cemetery on Frank Rd. in Kenly.
