Roy Nevelle Creech, age 73, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at WakeMed in Raleigh. Born in Johnston County on January 15, 1949 he was the son of the late Worley Nevelle and Geraldine Godwin Creech. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Gail Byrd Creech; and brothers, Ray Creech and Harry Creech.
Roy was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, singing and going to and watching races.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday, October 7, 2022 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in Selma Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. Friday just prior to the service at the funeral home.
Surviving are his daughter, Sandy Radford and husband Scott of Wendell; son, Roy Creech, Jr. and wife Stephanie of Selma; brother, Billy Creech and wife Donna of Oriental; sisters, Linda Griswold and husband Bill of Clayton and Edna Howard of Clayton; and grandchildren, Kaitlyn Radford, Hunter Creech, Brycen Creech, Nathan Reeves, Harley Medlin and Hailey Medlin.
