Kenly – Sally Mae Rollins, age 56, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, in UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Born, March 2, 1965, in Johnston County, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Daisy Johnson. She is preceded in death by her sister, Betty Rollins and brother, Clarence Johnson Jr. (Tom).
Sally was a loving mother, grandmother, friend and caregiver all of her life. She loved caring for her family and those close to her. Some of her hobbies included gardening, growing flowers, going to the beach, dancing and singing. Sally was also a very artistic and creative person. She will be missed by all her family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Parrish Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with the burial following in Selma Memorial Gardens.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Rollins Sr.; sons, Jimmy Rollins II (Hope) of Princeton, John Rollins (Rachel) of Kenly; brother, Johnny Earl Johnson of Princeton; grandchildren, Hailey, Afton, Kylie, Jaidyn, Addisyn, Ethan, Delilah, Elijah and Cristian.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice in memory of Sally Mae Rollins.
