Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Stanley Dale Stewart, age 75, of US 701 South died Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM-Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Corinth United Methodist Church in Four Oaks. Revs. Bill Spencer and Bud Cameron will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Stewart was born on February 22, 1947 in Johnston County, NC to the late William Walter “Bud” and Pearl Lena Lee Stewart. He was also preceded in death by his eleven brothers and sisters, Mildred Lee Stewart, William Worth (Elizabeth) Stewart, Mary Catherine (Hugh) Talton, Wilbur Edward Stewart, Ray Stewart, Ronald Keith Stewart, Linda Lou (Billy) Tart, Wade Hampton (Josephine) Stewart, Dailey (Callie) Stewart, Carlis (Ruth) Stewart, Pearl Ethel (David) McRoy.
Mr. Stewart retired from the North Carolina Department of Correction after 30 years of service and was a member of Corinth United Methodist Church. Mr. Stewart enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, and was an avid Carolina Tarheel Fan.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Anita S. Stewart of Four Oaks; daughters, Amy S. Cox and husband, Vince of Four Oaks, Staci S. Matuszewski and husband, Tom of Durham; grandchildren, Caleb Cox, Aaron Cox, Christopher Matuszewski, Michael Matuszewski; sister-in-law, Barbara Stewart of Four Oaks; numerous nieces and nephews; special caregiver and friend, Pam Adams of Selma.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC, and other times at the home.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Corinth United Methodist Church, 4170 Hwy 301 South Four Oaks, NC 27524.
