Sue Colville Barber

Mrs. Sue Colville Barber, 86, of Benson, NC passed asway on Saturday, February 28, 2026 in SECU Hospice House, Smithfield, NC with her family by her side.

Sue worked at Bowman Enterprises for many years until retirement.

Sue was born in Johnston County, North Carolina on January 10, 1940 to the late Richard C. and Mamie Adams Colville.

Sue was predeceased by her husband, Max H. Barber and longtime friend, JT Stewart.

Sue leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter, Wyndee B. Langdon and husband Andy of Siler City, NC; son, Max H. Barber Jr and wife Cynthia of Benson, NC; grandchildren, Blake Langdon and wife Carol; Emily Richardson and husband Jasen; and Kevin Langdon and wife Barbara as well as 5 great granchildren.

She was a member of Coats Church of God where a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 2:00 PM. Reverend Hollis Fedrick will be officiating. The family will receive friends and family immediately following the ceremony.
