Thomas Graham Ballard Jr, 58, of Monroe, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 29, 2024. He was preceded by his parents, Thomas Graham Sr., and Flossie Myrtle Ballard of Selma, North Carolina.
Tom, as he was known, is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, Cindy; his sister-in-law, Anna Crouse, husband David, and niece Mina; brother John Ballard, wife Joni, and nephew Jamie; brother David Ballard, wife Rachel, and nieces Caroline, Olivia, and Anna; and many extended family, and friends.
An alum of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Tom was a devoted lifelong fan of Tarheel Football and Basketball. Tom grew up in Selma, NC, and graduated from Smithfield-Selma High School in 1984. Tom loved cooking, fishing, camping, traveling, Cowboys football, NASCAR, and spending quality time with his family and friends. Tom and Cindy are members of the First Baptist Church of Monroe.
Tom’s Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Faith Baptist Church, 204 Ricks Road, Selma, North Carolina. A visitation will start at 12 pm with the Service starting at 1 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to First Baptist Church of Monroe, Georgia.
Georgia Cremation in Duluth assisted the family with arrangements.
