Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Thomas “Tom” Edward Baker, Jr., age 56 of New Hope Road passed away on November 11, 2023 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh surrounded by his loving family. Memorial Services will be 2:00PM Sunday, November 19, 2023 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Four Oaks. Pastor Eddie White will officiate.
Mr. Baker was born on April 27, 1967 in Person County to Thomas Edward Baker, Sr. of Four Oaks and the late, Dora Stephenson Baker. He worked for Caterpillar for 31 years. Mr. Baker had interests in metal detecting, collecting, history, old movies, tools, and music. He played the guitar and the banjo, loved going to the beach and deeply care for animals. Mr. Baker was a very hard worker who did not hesitate to give a hand to someone in need. He will be remembered as a loving Husband, Father, Brother, and great friend.
Surviving in addition to his father are his wife of 21 years, Tonya Baker; son, Hunter Baker of the home; sister, Deborah Brown and husband, Ken of Oxford, Barbara Lamb and husband, Jeff of Durham; brother, Stephen Baker of Four Oaks; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service.
