Thomas Woodrow Lamm, 86, passed away March 2, 2022 at his home. He was born March 2, 1936 in Johnston County to the late Clarence B. and Varnita Nichols Lamm. He spent his years enjoying the country life just down the road from his birthplace.
Woody, as he was known, was a life long member of Carter’s Chapel Baptist Church where he served in several capacities. After graduating from Micro High School he enlisted in the US Army serving 33 months in Europe. Upon returning home he graduated from Atlantic Christian College and enjoyed a career with the State Employees Credit Union until retirement.
Woody is survived by his wife, Kay Woodruff Lamm, brothers, Braxton Lamm and wife Linda of Albuquerque, NM and Tony Lamm and wife Betty Jo of Selma, NC and his aunt, Inez Nichols Kepley of Salisbury, NC. He is also survived by several special nieces, nephews and “adopted family” that he loved as his own.
A visitation will be held at Carter’s Chapel Baptist Church on Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 10:00 – 11:00 am followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial will be in the Carter’s Chapel Church Cemetery.
