Selma – Vivian Sullivan Braswell, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 in Johnston UNC Health in Smithfield. Born September 9, 1942 in Durham County she was a daughter of the late Millard and Ersel Murphy Sullivan. She was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Braswell; brother, Wade Sullivan; and sister, Marie Lynch. Vivian was a member of Live Oak Baptist Church in Selma.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2022 in Sullivan Cemetery with Rev. Frankie Bass and Rev. Eric Narron officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. Monday at Live Oak Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, George Braswell; sons, Randy Braswell and wife Gwen of Selma and Danny Braswell and wife Terry of Princeton; daughter, Diane Narron and husband Douglas of Middlesex; brother, David Sullivan of Selma; sister, Helen Jones of Clayton; grandchildren, Eric Narron and wife Lisa, Lorie Holland and husband Kevin, Cameron Braswell and Ashley Cox and husband Jacob; great grandchildren, Raegan Narron, Logan Narron, Jackson Narron, Kristin Holland and Colby Holland; and half siblings, J.R. Sullivan of Wake Forest and Esther Thornton of Virginia.
