Selma – Tony Allen Futch, age 94, passed away Sunday August 24, 2025 at his home in Selma. He was born in Johnston County on July 23, 1931 to the late Henry Futch and Rabie Kirks Futch. In addition to his father and mother he is also preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Mable Dail Futch; sisters, Virginia Futch, Wilma Rollins, Hilda Futch, Christie Newbern, Jonah Miller, Georgia Hamilton; brothers, AV, LD, Keith and Kilgore Futch.
The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home on Wednesday August 27, 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Thursday at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow the service on Thursday in Selma Memorial Gardens.
Tony is survived by his sons, Allen C. Futch and Teresa Baker of Smithfield, Michael Dale and wife Wendy of Princeton, Casey Hughes of Selma; daughter, Ashley Hughes of Selma; niece/daughter, Evelyn Dale Hughes of Selma; grandchildren, Christine Cannon and Justin of Fayetteville, Amanda Paul and Justin of Pine Level, Ethan Dale, Mikalah Dale and Jalin of Princeton; great granddaughters, Maesi Rae Paul and Kylie Grace Paul of Pine Level; great grandson, Issac Hughes of Pine Level; sister’s in law, Betty Futch of Fayetteville and Karina Futch of Raleigh.
Tony worked for the NCDOT for 42 years operating heavy equipment. He always was eager to help those in need, especially if he could feed you or give you food from his garden.
In addition to flowers memorial contributions may be sent to a local food bank of your choice in honor on Mr. Tony.
