Adam Cyrus Woodard

    Birth Date: 08/09/1977
    Deceased Date: 10/19/2019

Adam Cyrus Woodard passed away peacefully on the morning of October 19, 2019, with the love of his family surrounding him.
Adam graduated from Rosewood High School in 1995. He was an avid walker that also enjoyed working in the yard. Adam enjoyed a good joke or laugh, and had a memory that could not be matched. He enjoyed reminding everyone of their birthdate, even if they were unable to remember their own. Adam enjoyed taking trips to the mountains, and an occasional dip in the creek at Bryson City. Adam often followed friends and family as he navigated Facebook.
More than anything, Adam was a courageous warrior. He encountered many obstacles throughout his life, facing each of them with courage and faith. Adam remained steadfast that he would be healed, and Saturday, he received that healing.
Adam is survived by his father, Ronnie Woodard and wife Betty of Princeton; mother, Shiela Bell and husband Jay of Princeton; sister, Heather Weeks and husband Brian of Goldsboro; maternal grandmother, Doris Eudy of Smithfield; stepbrother, James Bell and wife Michelle of Smithfield; stepsister, Stephanie Hough and husband Adam of Kenly; niece, Haven Weeks; step niece and nephew, Blake and Abbie Hough; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Adam is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents, along with a dear cousin, Ashley Thompson, and stepsister, Katlyn Bell.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2019 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. A private family burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Wednesday just prior to the service.
