Adam Gray Hicks, age 34, died Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at his home. Born November 27, 1986 in Wake County he was a son of the late Alfred Moore Hicks Jr and Pamela Campbell Beasley. Adam was a graduate of North Johnston High School where he played the trumpet and then later tuba in the band. He had a love for sports and enjoyed watching his favorite teams, the Carolina Panthers and UNC Tarheels, play. Adam worked as a nurse for many years in the Cardiology Unit and the Emergency Room. He was known for having such a gentle bedside manner and taking the time to answer each question his patients may have. He was compassionate and caring, always trying to provide the very best care for his patients. Although nursing was Adam’s passion, his children were the true loves of his life. He loved spending time with Lillian, Nolan, Nathan and Lawson, traveling and making memories.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2021 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home.
Surviving are his sons, Nolan Everette Hicks, Nathan Adam Hicks, and Lawson Gray Hicks; daughter, Lillian Grace Hicks, all of Angier; brother, Robin Hicks and fiancée Pamela Green of Selma; and nieces, Bryanna Kaitlyn Hicks, and Savannah Lynn Hicks, all of Four Oaks.
