Selma – Agnes Mary Janes Jones, age 98, died Friday, October 4, 2019 in UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield. Born October 22, 1920 in Saint Johns, Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the late Jim and Katherine Janes. Agnes attended Micro Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 7, 2019 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Father Peter Grace officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Heights Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, and at other times at the home of Edna Johnson Renfrow.
Surviving are her son, Earl E. “Buddy” Jones, Jr. and wife Bonnie of Micro; daughters, Dorothy “Dot” Moore of Clayton, Edna Johnson Renfrow and husband Pastor Lyn Renfrow of Micro, Theresa Pulley of Micro, Betty Worley and husband Johnny of West Jefferson, NC, Carol Debnam and husband Ed of Bunn, Rosa Earp and husband Tim of Micro, and Shelia Jones of Micro; special nephew, Stephen O’Leary of St. Johns, Newfoundland; seventeen grandchildren; and twenty four great grandchildren.
