Selma – Allie Pearce “Ruth” Lane, age 91, died Saturday afternoon, November 17, 2018, at her home. Born January 29, 1927 in Johnston County to the late Richard Arthur and Allie Talton Pearce, she was the widow of Glenwood Lane and was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Pearce; great granddaughter, Audrina Kay Duke; sisters, Dorothy Massey, Ethel Best, Louise Hartley and Josephine Pearce and brothers, Willard Pearce and Alton Pearce.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Pearce officiating. Burial will follow in Selma Memorial Gardens.
Surviving are her sons Ricky Bare and wife Sue, Glenn Lane and wife Cindy and Richard Lane and wife Gerri all of Selma and Randy Pearce of Chesapeake, VA; daughters, Linda Holland of Pikeville and Pat Honeycutt and Wilma King both of Selma; sisters, Betsy Ingram of Rocky Mount and Grace Tyner of Pikeville; 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2018 at the funeral home.
