Waverly, VA – Anna Eleanor Underhill Wiggs, age 81, died early Saturday morning, July 14, 2018 in Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg, VA. Born January 1, 1937 in Johnston County to the late Benjamin Franklin and Addie Davis Underhill, she was the widow of John Tilley and Richard Wiggs and was preceded in death by brothers, James Robert Underhill and Joseph Osber Underhill and sisters, Mary Ethel Wall, Dollie Mae Owen, Cora Edith Fowler, Martha Marguerite Martin, Rose Lee Underhill, Hattie Evelyne Underhill and Bessie LaVerrne Jones. She was a member of the Harker’s Island Refuge Church.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2018 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with the Rev. Manley Rose, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Selma. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. just prior to the service.
Surviving are her sister, Emma Jean Tilley of Clayton; nephew, Ricky E. Fowler of Waverly, VA; niece, Weslie Bradshaw and husband John of Waverly, VA and numerous other nieces and nephews.
