Betsy Ross Braswell Pate, 85, of Princeton passed away at her home on Sunday, December 9, 2018. She was born on July 7, 1933 in Johnston County to the late Charles Richard Braswell and Bertha Creech Braswell. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Earl Pate. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 7:00 pm at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel with the Reverend Dwayne Batten officiating. The burial will take place in Princeton Cemetery at 225 Dr. Donnie H. Jones, Jr. Blvd., Princeton, NC 27569.
She is survived by sons, Michael Pate of Virginia and Donnie Pate and wife, Kay of Princeton; daughter, Judy Pate of Princeton; sister, Luda Braswell Hinnant; 7 grandchildren, Kim, Jody, Melissa, Clinton, Brandon, Dustin, and Joy; and 8 great grandchildren, Hayden, Parker, Astrid, Sienna, Caleb, MaKayla, Aubrey and Kylie.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel.
