Smithfield – Billy Ray Brannan, age 77, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, in UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh. He was born on October 20, 1943, to the late Walter and Virgie Brannan in Johnston County. Billy loved fishing, hunting, archery and gardening.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Joan Brannan, sons, Joseph Brannan (wife Wendy) of Princeton, and Bobby Brannan (wife Vicky) of Hubert, grandchildren, Eric Brannan, Bobby Brannan Jr, Crystal Langston, Allen Brannan, eight great grandchildren, and his feline companion, Camo.
