Smithfield – Bobby Clay Benson, age 46, died Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from injuries received in an automobile accident.
Born July 15, 1974 in Johnston County to Bobby Ray and Carol Barbour Benson Clay worked in construction, but in his free time enjoyed spending time with his kids and their friends and playing music with the group “Bad Decision”. He attended the Baker’s Chapel Ministries.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his son, Hunter Benson of the home; daughters, Jordan Benson of the home and Spencer Thompson of Jacksonville; brother, Clent Ray Benson of Smithfield and a grandson, Lennox Cash Barbour.
