Bobby Ray Raper
Middlesex: Bobby Ray Raper, 82, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning at Smithfield Manor Nursing and Rehab.
Bobby was born in Wilson County on February 28, 1936 to the late Kermit and Maybelle Narron Raper.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service. A service to remember his life will follow the visitation at 1:30 p.m. by the graveside at the Raper Family Cemetery with the Rev. James Murray officiating.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Judy Batten Raper; son, Bobby Glenn Raper and wife Lori of Kenly; daughter, Barbara Raper Pugh and fiancé Erik Schuette of Wilmington; brothers, Johnny Raper and wife Ruth of Elm City; Jerry Raper and wife Debbie of Wilson; sister, Gail Raper Johnson and husband Ray of Kenly; grandchildren, A.J. Green, Austin Pugh, and Marina Raper.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother William Raper and sister, Jeanette Raper Boykin.
