Benson, NC: Ms. Brandyce “Brandy” Marie Coates, age 45, of Pleasant-Coates Road passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021 at UNC Rex Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Memorial Services will be held 3:00PM Sunday, October 17, 2021 at St. Mary’s Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church, Benson. Rev. Wesley Taylor will officiate. Brandy would want everyone that attends to dress casually.
Brandy was born on July 31, 1976 in Johnston County to Joseph Daniel and Paula Bledsoe Coates of Benson. She worked for the North Carolina Department of Transportation as an Information Technologist.
Surviving in addition to her parents are her son, Daniel Scott Jernigan of Benson; brothers, Bradley Coates and wife, Sarah of Benson, Brett Coates and fiancé, Tasha Mitchell of Angier; nieces, Emma Grace Coates and Charlotte Coates; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many special friends.
Family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service in the church fellowship hall and other times at the home of Danny and Paula Coates, 1131 N. Pleasant-Coates Road Benson, NC 27504.
