SELMA – Brenda Mileydi Hernandez Nieves, age 35, died Monday, September 30, 2019 in UNC Chapel Hill. Born April 9, 1984 in Sonsonate, El Salvador to Mori Cordova and Ana Margarita Hernandez, she worked in the housekeeping department of UNC Johnston Health in Clayton. Brenda was a member of the Light of Christ Regional Outreach Center on Buffalo Road in Selma. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, arts and crafts of all kinds. She was a great wife, mother, daughter and sister with a heart of gold.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with the Rev. Gene Bruton officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 prior to the service.
Surviving in addition to her parents she is survived by her husband of 17 years, Antonio “Tony” Agosto; sons, Luis Nieves and step-son, Jonathan Nieves; daughters, Leslie Nieves and Natalie Nieves step-daughters, Amanda Nieves, Elizabeth Nieves, Ashley Nieves and Krystal Nieves; brother, Maurico Hernandez; sister, Keeny Hernandez and ten grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the UNC Chapel Hill Cancer Center, 101 Manning Drive, Chapel Hill, NC 27514.
Following services here, she will be taken to Los Angeles, CA for services there.
