Selma – Byron Keith Frye, age 60 passed left this world October 19, 2019, which is also his mother’s birthday. Born in Wayne County October 10, 2019 to the late Daniel Frye and Marie Allen. In addition to his mother and father Mr. Frye is also preceded in death by Daddy, Shelton Barefoot; Sisters, Lynette and Loretta; Niece, Jana; Nephew, Ethan. A memorial service will be conducted in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home Wednesday October 23, 2019 at 7 PM with Rev. Daniel Arrant officiating. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. Mr. Frye is survived by wife, Joy Pittman Godwin Frye; Daughter Lori Godwin Barnes and Husband Kenneth of Pine Level; Grandsons, Brandon and Cory Barnes; Sister, Linda McGee and husband Danny of Four Oaks; Brother, Bobby Frye and wife Beth of Wilson Mills; Nieces, Heather, Brandi Grace, Brianna, Jennifer, Keri, Kim; Great nieces Alexis and Brooke. Erik, Ian, Thaddeus and Heather are “Honorary nieces and nephews. Byron worked in commercial construction in many capacities his whole life. He loved his family and all things outdoors and hated to be cooped up inside. Hunting, fishing, archery and most of all his shop to “putter” around were his activities of choice. He never met a stranger and had a loving, generous and giving nature. He will be sorely missed. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Mr. Frye’s name to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123, or to the charity of one’s choice.
