Princeton – Carl Lee Thornton “Pete” Jr., age 63, went to be with his Lord and Savior in his home on Thursday, September 17, 2020. He was born a son of Carl and Pearlene Thornton on October, 30, 1956, in Wayne County. He is preceded in death by his mother Mrs. Pearlene Thornton and step mother, Barbara Thornton. During his life Pete was a member of Princeton Baptist Church in Princeton. He loved fishing and going to Kennels Beach, but most importantly he loved his family.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2020, at Princeton Baptist Church at 4:00 p.m. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years Mrs. Kathy Radford Thornton, father, Carl Lee Thornton Sr; sons, Brandon Thornton of Pine level and Jamie Briscoe (wife Jessica) of Selma, daughter, Terrie Boyette (husband Brent) of Kenly, sister Renee Perry (husband Connie) of Princeton, grandchildren, Fisher Lee Boyette and Aiden Briscoe, sister in law, Lisa Pittman Radford, nieces, Ashley Hinnant and Christy Radford, nephew Christopher Perry.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Princeton Baptist Church at 211 S. Pearl Street, Princeton, NC 27569.
