Carol Jane Sheller Taylor
Carol Jane Sheller Taylor, 79, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. She was born February 2, 1940 to the late Francis DeLoss Sheller and Bessie Hazel Radar Sheller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elsie Grant Taylor. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel with Dr. Ray Carr officiating. A private burial will follow at Baptist Center Church Cemetery at 2163 Ranch Road, Clayton, NC.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.
She is survived by sons, Ethan Stauffer (Cynthia) of Garner, Tyson Stauffer ( Jill) of Clayton; daughters, Melissa Rinehart (Richard) of Princeton, Alisa Brogden of Wake Forest; 12 grandchildren, Richard, Justin, Ryan, Natasha, Cassidy, Julia, Michael, Kayla, Abigail, Dylan, Bracey, and Hayden; 1 great grandchild, Joshua; and special grandchild, Chelsea.
Carol dedicated her life to raising her children and encouraging and supporting them in every endeavor. She took great pride in her artistic talents that she loved to exhibit through her specialty cake decorating, wreath and flower arrangements, and painted yard decorations. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother and great grandmother. Her home was always open to family and those she welcomed as chosen family.
Although flowers are welcome, the family suggests contributions be made to the SECU Hospice House, PO Box 1376, Smithfield, NC 27577.
