Always there with a big bear hug, sage wisdom, and reassurance. Charles will be greatly missed by his family, church, and community.

Charles retired proudly from the US Navy forces having traveled to 52 countries and serving in several wars. During the time of his service Charles’ brief trips home were a great treat to his children. Charles taught and retired for the second time from Wilson Technical Institute as a Heavy Equipment Instructor. As an active Micro Volunteer Firefighter, Charles was also instrumental in helping establish Micro’s Rescue Services.
Charles could be found shooting the breeze uptown with the “boys”. He enjoyed fishing, drinking coffee, and working on various “projects”. Mostly Charles loved his church and church family at Micro Original Free Will Baptist. The church of his childhood and where he remained an active member for as long as his health allowed. Charles’ mind was persistently proficient as he could recall details of almost any worldly topic. Charles was honorable, fearless, blatantly honest, and his family believed him to be the strongest man on Earth.
