SMITHFIELD – Clinton Fred Eltz, age 75, died Monday, December 25, 2017 at his home. Born January 21, 1942 in Hurleyville, NY to the late Seth Floyd and Carrie Cole Eltz he was a US Army veteran. A tool and die maker by trade he worked with Channel Master for more than 42 years before retiring. Before being transferred to Smithfield with Channel Master, he was a member of the Hurleyville Fire Department in Hurleyville, NY.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2017, in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Mr. Luby C. Tyner, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. He will be buried in the Hurleyville Cemetery at a later date.
Surviving are his sons, Tim Eltz of Smithfield, Darren Eltz and Amanda of Four Oaks and Kurt Eltz and Andy of Mebane; brothers, Vincent Eltz of Woodstock, GA and Cliff Eltz of Beach Lake, PA; sisters, Virginia Tobey of Warwick, NY and Eileen Hewett of Loch Sheldrake, NY and three grandchildren, Devin, Skylar and Clinton Eltz.
