Dunn, NC: Mrs. Cynthia Jernigan Baker, age 61, of 830 Alphin Road passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Memorial Service will be 11:30AM, Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at Johnston UNC Healthcare Hospital Chapel in Smithfield. Rev. Jerome Pope and Chaplain Greg McClain will officiate.
Mrs. Baker was born October 23, 1957 in Cumberland County to the late Hershel Warren and Veda Mae Everette Jernigan. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Jernigan. Mrs. Baker was a licensed physical therapy assistant for UNC Johnston Healthcare Hospital for 18 years.
Surviving include husband of 42 years, Steve Baker of Dunn; daughter, Sherry Baker of the home; nephews, Bryan Scott Jernigan and Jordan Lee Baker; and her loving hospital family.
The family will receive friends following memorial service.
