Coats, NC: Ms. Darlene Stevens Grenther, age 71, 144 E. South Street, died Tuesday, March 10, 2020. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Monday, March 16, 2020 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Coats. Officiating will be Rev. Mark Fields. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Angier, NC.
Ms. Grenther was born on November 15, 1948 in Harnett County to the late Earl and Geraldine Williams Stevens. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmy Stevens and Mark Stevens. Ms. Grenther was a teacher, teaching in California and retiring from Harnett County Schools. She was member of Benson Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving include her brother, Jerry Stevens and wife, Patricia of Coats; niece and nephews, Jeramy Stevens, Anthony Stevens, Paula Stevens and Toby Stevens; many great-nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM-2:45 PM, Monday, March 16, 2020 prior to the service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Coats.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials to the American Cancer Society.
