Garner – David Ben Anderson, Jr., age 79, died early Friday morning, May 11, 2018 surrounded by his family in the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born September 22, 1938 in White Hall, AR he was a son of the late David Ben Sr. and Octavia Taylor Anderson. David was a lifelong member of American Legion in Arkansas.
A memorial service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at New Hope Alliance Church, 2642 Old Fairground Road, Angier, NC 27501. A burial will be conducted in Arkansas at a later date.
Surviving are his wife, Jean Anderson of Garner and his beloved Chihuahua “Miss Mattie”; sons, Mike Anderson and wife Dina of Oak Island, NC and Jeff Anderson of Gulfport, MS; daughters, Kathy Mullins and husband Harold of Hickory Ridge, AR and Jennifer Smith and husband Mitchell of Newport, AR; stepchildren, Chris Fraizer of Garner, Debra Wyatt and husband Mickey of Garner, Vickie Thompson of Garner, and Steve Strickland of Nahunta; brother, Danny Anderson of Wynne, AR; sisters, Helen Suthrelen of Cherry Valley, AR; sixteen grandchildren; and fifteen grandchildren.
