David Carl Wiley, Sr., 67, of Johnston County passed away at Kitty Askins Hospice Center on Sunday, October 27, 2019. He was born December 7, 1951 to the late Odie Carl Wiley and Ethel Denning Wiley. No formal services are planned at this time.
Mr. Wiley was an excellent provider, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was married the love of his life, Ree Woodard Wiley for 40 years. He honorably served his county in the US Air Force during Vietnam and Desert Storm. He worked as a Wayne County Deputy Sheriff. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time with friends over a cold Mt. Dew. Papa will always be loved and missed.
He is survived by his wife, Ree Woodard Wiley; sons, Raymond Scott Wiley of Pikeville, Rodney Wayne Nichols of Princeton, Jonathan James Wiley of Rocky Mount, David Carl Wiley, Jr. of Wilmington; daughter, Sharon Williams of Wilmington; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
