Pine Level – David Earl Holloman, age 91, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at Wake Med Hospital in Raleigh. Born September 8, 1929, in Johnston County he was a son of the late Chester and Alice Evans Holloman. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Lee Holloman, Johnny Holloman and Harvey Holloman; sisters, Annie Jones, Thelma Campbell and Marie Johnson. Earl was a life-long farmer and worked hard all his life. He was a member of Parrish Memorial Baptist Church in Selma. Earl was a quiet and respectable man. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and loved all his family.
A private family service will be conducted at his home on Sunday followed by a public graveside at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 8, 2021, and burial to follow in the family cemetery.
He leaves behind his wife of more than 70 years, Mrs. Shirley Lassiter Holloman; children, David Holloman of Pine Level, Don Holloman (Debbie) of Pine Level and Doug Holloman (Mandy) of Princeton; grandchildren, Jaclyn Grantham, Jenna Daniels and Joelle Williams; great-grandson, Collin Daniels; and many nieces and nephews.
