Coats, NC: Mrs. Delayna Hughes Norris, 83, of Oak Dale Street, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at Universal Health in Lillington. A Graveside Service will be 12:00-PM-Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Harnett Devotional Gardens. Rev. Steve Southers will officiate.
Mrs. Norris was born on September 18, 1937 in Johnston County to the late Nelson and Daisy Bell Moore Hughes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sydney Norris, Jr. Mrs. Norris was a homemaker.
Surviving include her children, Donna Gail Carroll, David Lynn Norris and wife, Kim, Carolyn Sue Stevens and husband, Tony, Betty Jean Norris, Peggy Louise Vann, Catherine Ann Parrish, and Sydney James Norris; ten grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, sister, Florence Byrd; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:45AM-11:45AM, Wednesday, November 11, 2020 prior to the service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Coats and other times at the home of David Norris, 7629 Fox Knoll Drive, Fuquay Varina, NC 27526.
In accordance with NC-COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W’s: wait, wash, and wear a face covering.
