Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Della T. Twigg age 97, passed away Saturday at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Funeral services will be 3:00PM Wednesday at the Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Revs. Freddy Wayne Langston and Sherwood Lassiter. Burial will follow in Hills of the Neuse Cemetery, Smithfield.
Mrs. Twigg was born in Johnston County on July 7, 1919 to the late Perry Daniel and Rosetta Grant Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Pharo Twigg; sons, Thelbert Twigg, Donnie Twigg, Jimmy Twigg; a daughter-in-law, Betty Jean Twigg. Mrs. Twigg was a homemaker and a member of Stewart’s Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving include sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn Twigg and wife, Lois of Kenly, Ronnie Twigg and wife, Barbara of Smithfield; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-laws, Carol Twigg of Smithfield, Mildred Twigg of Four Oaks; sister, Effie Baker of Four Oaks; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks and other times at the home of Ronnie and Barbara Twigg, 157 Quail Road, Smithfield, NC 27577.
