Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Dennis Michael Johnson, age 78, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks. Burial will follow in Faith Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, Four Oaks.
Mr. Johnson was born on May 27, 1942 in Johnston County to the late Sherwood and Mavis Johnson. He was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Johnson and step-grandchildren, Anthony Brian Hall, Cameron Michael Hall and Garrett Lee Hall. Mr. Johnson worked with Parker Gas Company.
Surviving include his wife of 37 years, Carolyn Massengill Johnson; daughter, Denise Lynn Johnson of Raleigh; grandchildren, Donna Nicole Locklear of Raleigh and Nicholas Alan Mitchell of Raleigh; step-daughter, Loretta Hall and husband, Tony of Benson; three step-grandchildren, Toni Faith Hall Braswell and husband, Joseph of Four Oaks, Jesse Micah Hall of Georgia, and Amanda Hall Benson and husband, Derek of Four Oaks; brothers, Dewitt Johnson of Clayton, Gary Johnson and wife, Brenda Gail of Four Oaks, Jerry Johnson of Benson, and Royce Johnson and wife, Amy of Four Oaks; sister, Sherry Hudson and husband, Neal of Benson; loving nieces and nephews, Anthony Johnson, Terri Lynn Coats, Jonathan Johnson, Tammy Lassiter, Ethan Hudson, Matthew Hudson (his hunting buddy), and Alan Johnson.
Mr. Johnson will be available for viewing and you may sign the register book from 12:30PM-5:00PM on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC. The family will not be present during this viewing time.
In accordance with NC-COVID19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W’s: wait, wash, and wear a face covering.
