Smithfield – Dorothy Marie Parker Langdon, age 79, died early Friday morning, January 20, 2017 in Rex Healthcare in Raleigh. Born May 24, 1937 in Johnston County she was born to the late Percy and Zula Austin Parker. She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Braxton Langdon; and brother, Everette Parker. Dorothy was a member of Hopewell Free Will Baptist Church in Smithfield.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2017 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Lewis Godwin. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Monday just prior to the service.
Surviving are her sons, Ryan Wallace and wife Brenda of Four Oaks, Tim Wallace of Smithfield, and Mark Wallace and wife Kelly of Clayton; brothers, Arthur Lee Parker and Melvin Parker; grandchildren, Jessica Murray, Joshua Wallace, Jordan Wallace, and Peyton Wallace; and great grandchildren, Darian Murray, and Janiaya Murray.
