    Angier, NC: Dr. William Sutton Ketcham, age 93, died Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Oak Hill Assisted Living Community in Angier. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, January 26, 2020 at the Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Coats. Officiating will be Chaplin Robbie O’Quinn. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Angier, NC.

    Dr. Ketcham was born March 23, 1926 in Wayne County to the late William Manly and Ethel Sutton Ketcham. Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Werneth “Wendy” Stephenson Ketcham, sons, William “Billy” Sutton Ketcham, Jr. and Rodney Keith Langdon, and sister, Elaine Ketcham. Dr. Ketcham graduated UNC in 1947 and later graduating from Emory Dental School in Atlanta, GA with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1950. He retired from his private dental practice in Jacksonville, NC after 48 years. Dr. Ketcham also served our country during WWII retiring as a Colonel in the US Army.

    Surviving family include his children, Gregory Rowe Ketcham and wife, Dinah of South Carolina, Kristopher Sutton Ketcham and wife, Trang of Georgia, Thomas Mitchell Langdon and wife, Shelly of Laurinburg, Timonthy Craig Langdon and wife, Jamie of Angier, and Pamela Leigh Langdon of Angier; grandchildren, Tommy Langdon, Traci Langdon Beasley, John Langdon, Andrea Langdon, Crystal Carlough, Shelton Langdon, Trey Ketcham, Corey Ketcham, Sarah Ketcham, Katherine Serrell, Topher Ketcham, and Keifer Ketcham; numerous great grandchildren; and brother, Harry Turner of Chapel Hill. The family would like to thank the staff of Oak Hill Assisted Living Center, and the staff of Community Home Care and Hospice, and Paul Mefford for the loving care they provided to their father.

    The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM-2:45 PM, Sunday, January 26, 2020 prior to the 3:00 PM service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Coats.

    In lieu of flowers, Dr. Ketcham would have requested you spend the time with your loved ones.
